Over the years, I explored different creative careers that deepened may understanding of personal style and spatial flow. I spent six years as a hairstylist , using creativity to help people feel beautiful, confident, and love the best version of themselves. Later, I transitioned into Interior and Set Design at Columbia, where I learned how every element in a space tells a story and shapes how people feel within in. The real turning point came when I moved in with my now husband.

Our home needed a full facelift, and he gave me the freedom to make it my own. With his support, I reimagined every room — layering organization with design until it finally felt like “us”. As I transformed the space room by room, I realized just how powerful a well-organized, thoughtfully designed environment could be — not just for how a home looks, but how it feels.

That experience sparked something deeper in me: the joy of helping spaces support real life, and the desire to help others feel that transformation too — and that’s what led me to launch Amara by Larken.
